Oven-Roasted Chicken Legs
Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients:
8 chicken legs
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
- Preheat your oven to 410°F (210°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup, or use a non-stick or ceramic baking pan.
- In a small bowl, mix together the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to create a spice rub.
- Pat the chicken legs dry with paper towels.
- Rub the chicken legs evenly with the spice mixture, making sure to coat all sides, the drizzle the olive or vegetable oil over it.
- Place the chicken legs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each piece.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes or until the chicken legs are cooked through and the skin is crispy and golden brown. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- Once cooked, remove the chicken legs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve the oven-baked chicken legs hot as a delicious main dish, they pair well with a variety of sides such as roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, fries, or a fresh salad.
